Troubleshooting

  1. Check Preferences → Audio → Global Output Device.
  2. Make sure the Global Output Device is not muted in the OS.
  3. Check the clip’s output assignment.
  4. Check Clip Gain is not set to silence.
  5. Verify the clip file is not silent or corrupted.
  1. If Require output assignment is enabled in Default mode, make sure the clip has an output assigned.
  2. Check the IN/OUT markers — the OUT marker may be before the IN marker.
  3. Check the retrigger mode; Ignore mode will block repeat triggers.
  4. Check if the clip is in a project slot that is not active.
  5. If the button flashes red and shows Media Missing, the audio file has moved or been deleted — restore the file or load a replacement.
  1. In Preferences → Audio, check the routing dropdowns — a device listed as (unavailable) means the saved interface isn’t connected (or DVS isn’t running).
  2. In multi-channel device mode, confirm each output letter is mapped to the intended channel pair.
  3. Fire a test tone (right-click the output in the Live Output View, or the tone button in Preferences → Audio) to confirm the physical path.
  1. Check the selected Input Device and Input Gain in the record modal.
  2. On macOS, check System Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone and make sure Callie is allowed.
  1. Reduce Clip Gain.
  2. Reduce the number of clips playing simultaneously on the same output.
  3. Check the system audio device is not overdriven.
  1. Connect the Stream Deck before launching Callie.
  2. Close other apps that may be using the Stream Deck, especially Elgato Stream Deck Companion.
  3. Watch for the UI alert that tells you if another application is blocking the Stream Deck.
  4. Check the selected layout matches your device.
  5. Restart Callie.
  1. Check the correct MIDI input port is selected in Preferences.
  2. Re-learn the MIDI assignment.
  3. Make sure no other app is using the same MIDI port.
  1. Match the frame rate to your timecode source.
  2. Check the timecode is reaching the selected input.
  3. For LTC, adjust input gain.
  1. Use shorter files for testing.
  2. Ensure you have enough free disk space.
  3. Keep files under 15 minutes to avoid out-of-memory errors.
  4. Processing is CPU-only; speed depends on your processor and file length.
