Keyboard Shortcuts Reference
Four controls are not on the keyboard. The rest are.
How Keys Are Written
Section titled “How Keys Are Written”A menu shows Cmd+P on macOS and Ctrl+P everywhere else. Below, Cmd/Ctrl means both.

Vector opens the Sources Palette on first run. The handle on its boundary shows Hide the Sources Palette (Cmd/Ctrl+K brings it back).
Both windows close from their own title bar.
Keys Inside the Scopes and Tiles
Section titled “Keys Inside the Scopes and Tiles”- Shift+drag on a 3-D color cube — pans the cube. It is Vector’s only modifier.
- Escape — closes the scope properties panel.
- A click on a grown scope tile — exits the grown view. The hint shows Escape or click to exit.
Left click selects a scope tile and right click opens its properties pane. A left double-click grows it to fill the page.
Selecting Tiles by Index
Section titled “Selecting Tiles by Index”| Key | What it does |
|---|---|
| Shift+1 … Shift+9 | Selects the tile at that index |
| Shift + the symbols ! @ # $ % ^ & * ( | The same binding, for the key positions with a symbol |
| Arrow keys | Moves that selection, spatially |
| Escape | Exits a projection, then clears the selection |
Every box on a shipped page is a scope box, so a Shift key reaches any tile.
Layout and Pad Keys
Section titled “Layout and Pad Keys”Cmd/Ctrl+1 … Cmd/Ctrl+9 select a pad by index, and Cmd/Ctrl+PageUp and Cmd/Ctrl+PageDown step through the pads.
They work in Vector too. A session has one pad with the layout and its sources, and the Layout menu is quicker for four built-in pages.
Zoom, Dials and Stills
Section titled “Zoom, Dials and Stills”- Scope zoom. The vectorscope, the HML Balance view, the CIE plot and the 3-D color cube zoom with the wheel. A left double-click resets the cube. A left double-click or a middle click resets the vector plots and the CIE plot. On a waveform, use the Zoom rail in the scope properties pane. The CIE plot has that rail too.
- The four dial properties. Global brightness, Scope Zoom Reset, Waveform zoom and Snapshot blend are Stream Deck dials.
- Snapshots. Grab snapshot, Load last snapshot and Blend last snapshot are Stream Deck actions.
- Scope screenshots. Save scope screenshot is in the View menu.
In Fullscreen
Section titled “In Fullscreen”The menu bar and the status fields hide in fullscreen. Move the pointer into the strip the bar occupies, or open a menu, to bring them back.
That strip is the top 8 px of the window, and it floors at 8 px before the bar has appeared once. The bar stays ten seconds after you move the pointer away.
Learn Cmd/Ctrl+K, Cmd/Ctrl+F and Escape, and you won’t have to hunt for the bar. The Stream Deck surface is the other way in. A mapping there has its own Shortcut, a binding on the control surface.
See Working with Scopes for the scopes and Vectorscope for the zoom and reset gestures above.
